Here at Suddenly Sculpted & Sexy med spa we offer laser aesthetics to get high end and lasting results. LASER HAIR REMOVAL
As mentioned above we use the Diode 808nm laser for permanent hair removal for any unwanted hair on the body. The laser uses a wavelength (measured in nanometers/nm) in the light spectrum to target the pigmentation of hair deep in the follicle where the root of the hair grows. As the name suggests the laser beam focuses on 808nm and filters a range from 755nm+808nm+1064 ensuring to target all of the pigment tones (that human body hair contains) are absorbed. Caution is exercised by the technician to adjust settings for clients with particular tones in their hair and skin. Since dark pigment absorbs light more readily energy settings may need to be reduced for darker skinned/haired persons. Consequently, those with lighter pigment skin and hair require more energy to target deep in the follicle to cause enough damage to stop hair regrowth. With the right settings and enough sessions permanent hair removal can be achieved. It is recommended to get 6-8 treatments spaced out 4-6 weeks at a time. MICRONEEDLING
We offer microneedling to clients that wish to tighten loose skin, minor wrinkles, and acne scarring. As the name suggest we use a device that stamps a group of short needles in the epidermis of the skin creating a injury to a particular area. The needles go far enough to draw blood at times (up to 4mm) and how deep you go is determined by the area wanting treatment and where it is on the body. The uniform injury (looking like dot matrix in a square) creates a tightening effect as the skin heals. This makes the wrinkles less prominent and loose saggy skin to appear more firm. This particular machine that we use also shoots a beam of radio frequency in the area of each needle stamp. This beam of energy (radio frequency) targets the collagen matrix in the dermal layer of the skin to repair and become firm again. As we age our collagen matrix decreases and our skin starts to wrinkle and sag. Microneedling helps reverse those signs of aging as well as gradually erasing those scars earned over the years. It is recommended to have 3-4 sessions done to soften wrinkles and reduce visible scars. Or, if done for preventative measures done once every 3 months. Another laser service we offer is tattoo removal. The Nd:YAG laser has been the crowning achievement in tattoo elimination for years, and has been the only laser as the standard of care to do it effectively. Only recently did scientists discover that if they delivered the laser beam faster and with less duration you can deliver more energy and create less skin damage. Enter the Picosecond Nd:YAG laser! So what does this all mean? Traditional tattoo removal used to deliver the laser beam in a nanosecond. This sometimes caused thermal damage to the skin (a skin burn) and care had to be taken with every session to adjust the energy enough to deliver the results and not burn the skin. We deliver the laser beam in a picosecond (which is 1,000th of a nanosecond, and a nanosecond is a billionth of a second; therefore, a picosecond is one trillionth of a second.....phew). Well by doing that we are able increase the energy dramatically. By increasing the energy we shatter the tattoo pigment into finer particulates. When this happens the body can eliminate them and digest them. This means we can achieve total removal in less amount of sessions 6-8 than the traditional 10-12. Lets get you scheduled today!
